Streamlined X-Date Lead Generation for
Timely Appointments

Our X-date lead generation system is designed to help you get ahead of policy renewal dates, securing timely appointments with qualified businesses.

X-DATE LEAD GENERATION:

When we begin making calls on your behalf, we will contact businesses representing your agency and speak directly with the decision-makers regarding their insurance policies. During the call, we inform them that we offer competitive programs tailored to their business class, including package, workers' compensation, and commercial auto policies. We then ask if we may follow up a couple of months before their renewal date to offer a policy comparison outside of their current broker.

If they agree, then we get into the call and ask…

1. X-Date – date(s) that the insurance policies renew during the year.

2. Who is insuring them – insurance carrier and broker info.

3. # of employees

4. # of location

5. # of autos.

6. E-Mail Address

7. We also do our best to simply engage in conversations with these prospects to uncover anything else that might help out on the next call, such as….when they start looking at other options, do they have a relationship with their current agency/broker, what would get them to change their insurance come renewal time, how much they’re paying for their insurance (ie…premium), etc.

Appointment Setting:

We typically begin following up on these leads about four months prior to their policy renewal date, also known as the "X-date." This timeframe gives us ample opportunity to schedule an appointment for our client to meet with the business and provide an insurance quote. This marks the final phase of our program, where we deliver qualified appointments directly to our clients. Whenever possible, we also request the declaration pages of the policies, so you have a clear understanding of their current coverage and situation prior to the appointment.

Summary

Signature Marketing focuses exclusively on generating business insurance opportunities for our clients.

Commercial Insurance:
Also known as Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance, commercial insurance includes various lines of coverage that protect a business. While there are many types of policies, our outreach primarily targets the following three:

  • A. Property / General Liability – Covers the building and general operations

  • B. Workers’ Compensation – Covers employees in case of workplace injuries

  • C. Commercial Auto Insurance – Covers business-owned vehicles

These policies may all renew simultaneously with one carrier, or separately with different carriers at various times throughout the year. Our job is to identify what policies the business holds, when each one renews, and with which carrier. Gathering this information is key to preparing our clients for successful engagement.

Program Overview

The Signature Marketing process operates in three core phases:

  1. List Compilation
We build a targeted calling list based on key criteria such as:

    • SIC Codes

    • Employee Count

    • Geographic Location

  2. X-Date Lead Phase
During this phase, we gather critical information, including the renewal ("X-date") of current policies, and determine whether the insured is open to reviewing their coverage with an outside agent.

  3. Appointment Setting
As the X-date approaches (typically around 4 months out), we reconnect with these leads to schedule exclusive, face-to-face appointments for our clients. These appointments are timed around policy renewals, giving our clients the best opportunity to quote, win new accounts, and grow their book of business.
